ATLANTIC RHYTHM PRODUCTIONS
Atlantic Rhythm Productions is the brainchild of Irish dance teacher Sheila Moffatt.
This Crossmolina, Co. Mayo, woman has been immersed in the world of Irish dance, music, song and culture all of her life.
From small beginnings, the school has grown to the point where it is now one of the largest schools in the west of Ireland. The school holds classes weekly in many north Mayo venues, with its base in the parish of Crossmolina. Classes cater for beginners right through to open championship level. All age groups are accommodated. Both solo and team dancing are taught to a very high standard.
The school competes at the provincial, All-Ireland, international and world dancing championships in both solo and team divisions with some outstanding results.
In 2012, Sheila and her teams of dancers, musicians, singers, actors (from local drama groups) and Gaeilgeoiri (Irish language speakers) staged two acclaimed shows Children of Lir and The Emigrant’s Farewell (more information HERE on the two shows). These shows were received with such enthusiasm that Sheila was prompted to establish Atlantic Rhythm Productions.
