PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Stephen Small has appeared in many New Zealand studio recordings on piano/keyboards and vocal, horn and string arrangements.

He is the Music Director for synthesist and New Age pioneer Kitaro, appearing on world tours and a Grammy-nominated live album. He has conducted and recorded at Abbey Road Studios (London Symphony Orchestra) and Air Lyndhurst Studios (London Philharmonic Orchestra), and with studio orchestras in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. A highlight has been to bring symphony orchestra and kapa haka together in New Zealand.

Stephen is a recording artist with Domo Music Group (USA) and divides his time between New Zealand and Japan.
